STUDENT SCREENINGS

 

Student Screenings are usually held in the second Tuesday of every month during semester time at the Communication Lab (Room 9508) between 12 noon to 1 pm.

 

 Objectives

  • Provide a friendly and relaxed space for students to screen & discuss completed/work-in-progress films before submitting for wider distribution
  • Provide avenue to relate film theories with praxis by experimenting with digital video making technologies as a vehicle for documentary and artistic expression

 

Guidelines

 1)      Films can be fictional or documentary (or a mixture of both). All genres are accepted.

2)      Ideally, films should be no longer than 20 minutes in duration. 

3)      Individuals intending to screen their films should submit their films to one of the above persons at least 2 weeks before screening time. A brief synopsis should also be included for publicity purposes.

4)      The curators reserve the right not to screen films deemed to be of an offensive nature.

5)      Films submitted should be in DVD/VCD format

6)      Films will be returned to the director/producer after screening
