Dr. Patricia Kin-Leng Goon
Area of expertise:Cultural studies, specialising in cultural and social cyborgisms, postcolonial commoditisations and science fiction. Current research project:
Research interest:My main research interests concern the construction of subjectivity within various postmodern and postcolonial pop-culture formats, especially in relation to notions of the cyborg, virtual reality, cyber-mediations and posthuman representations. Information and computer-mediated technologies and internet modalities are key study areas. Other research interests include fan culture and science fiction and fantasy studies.
